A DesignWorks Original Christmas Tale

‘Twas the week before Christmas, when all through the warehouse

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;

The foam core was hung by the Graphic’s Loft with care,

In hopes that a new project would soon would be there;

The florals were nestled all snug in their cooler beds,

While visions of beautiful centerpieces danced in their heads;

When out in the front office there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from my desk to see what was the matter.

Away to the window I flew like a flash,

Tore open the drape and threw up the sash.

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But a new bride and groom, and bridesmaids near.

More rapid than eagles their requests they came,

And they whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

“Now, Centerpieces! now, Aisle! now, Bouquet and More!

On, Gobos! on Draping! on, Stage Backdrop and Dance Floor!

Design our wedding! Make us smirk!

Now design away! design away! design away DesignWorks!”

And then, in a twinkling, I heard a designer say,

“Of course we will design your special day!”

As I drew in my head, and was turning around,

Linen samples, CAD’s, and Mock Ups came a bound.

The client’s eyes — how they twinkled! their dimples how merry!

Their cheeks were like roses, their noses like a cherry!

The clients were overwhelmed and so very excited,

That is the only way, we at DesignWorks can be delighted!

The bride jumped up and down, like a child ready to play,

She squealed “I cannot wait until my wedding day!

You made it so beautiful, making my dreams come true,

no one else could have designed my hopes and wishes, only you!”

They sprang to their car, and gave their driver a whistle,

And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

But I heard them exclaim, ere they drove out of sight,

“Thank you so much DesignWorks!  Now hurry up driver, we need to catch our flight!”

And from our DesignWorks family to yours,

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
