Classic Wedding in a Museum | Reception Details

Notes from the bride, Noran:

Erik and I met in Washington, DC while waiting in line for a museum exhibit. We were stuck in line for over an hour, which gave him plenty of time to strike up conversation! We ended up touring the exhibit together and the rest is history. I’m from Cairo and Erik is from Colorado, so bringing together a Middle Eastern mountain wedding was quite the mash-up. We wanted our guests from overseas to experience Colorado’s beauty, so we arranged a hike on the Flatirons in Boulder the morning of the wedding and our venue overlooked the beautiful city of Denver and the Rockies. We had a Middle Eastern lute player with traditional Arabic music for the ceremony, and our mothers read an Arabic poem in both languages. Most importantly, both families jumped right in for belly dancing and Dabke (traditional Middle Eastern line dancing)!
